well I today I installed my alarm ( concordia auto ) I got it from a group purchase on jbody.org well anyways,  its the remote start one, but I didnt install the remote start components untill I get my bypass.  But my problem is...the alarm works, it arms and disarms, locks the doors, arm goes off if door is open and it is shook.     but the REAL problem is that once it sits for like 3 minutes, the alarms just goes off by its self.  at first I thought it was the shock sensor, so I turned it all the way down, and that wasnt it!  So what can it be?

thank you in adavance

btw I have a 1996 Cavalier Z24 ( factory locks and such )

Scott

what did you use for your door triggers?  and what happens if you unplug the shock harness and arm it.

sroth140......for now im just running 1 trigger and taht is the door one, just until I get a 1amp diode to diode isolate the passenger side door.    and I can honestly say that I never pulled the plug for the shock sensor! so I would know...but do you really think that could be the problem?

that could be the problem, try to diode isolate the dome light.

the reason i sent you the info that i did was so you could double check the hook ups that you did...

also, do you have a book that tells you what zone triggered the alarm....most owners manual will have a page in there about each zone....double check that info and see what it tells you..if you need one let us know, im sure we can find one for you...

are you sure it takes 3 minutes to go off and not less? The reason why I ask is most alarms have a delay time before fully arming. The delay could be 30 seconds, 45 seconds or so. time it and let us know.

Instead of diode isolating your dome light.  Try connecting your dome light supervision wire to your door trigger.  This will elliminate the dome light delay.   It is usually BLACK/ white.  You can also connect the other (-) input wire from the alarm (blue) to your passenger door trigger to get around using a diode.

well I was looking at https://bulldogsecurity.com/New%20Wires/New%20Wires/Wires/cav96-98.htm and it says that the dome light is LT GRN/ blk (-)

so how would I go about wiring it?

also its says taht it is at the ccm? where is that and what is that?

I feel like such a retard, all you guys are probably like WOW hes stupid..hahah

electricity isnt my thing

nothing happens if you turn on your dome light.  The alarm would not be activated if you are in the vehicle, and it works as an input trigger to set the alarm off.  Some alarms with domelight supervision will turn on your domelight once the alarm is deactivated, but this shuts off as soon as you turn your ignition on.  No need to worry.

You must splice the wire from your alarm into the lt grn/blk wire.  Make sure the wire from the alarm is also (-) polarity.  The ccm is your central control module and it is located in your drivers' side kick panel.

raydawg....(-) polarity as in?

anything thing is on my lsc remote there is a lil thing that shows up when the car is remote started or engine is running ( well I dont have the remote start hooked-up AN I never had the car running while armed ) but anyways when I arm it, this lil thing shows up meaning the car is running, so that is why the alarm is going off I think!

why would it be thinking that the car is running, when it really isnt?

I did look threw my manual and found nothing.  The only time it shows you what happened is when it was the shock sensor picks it up, but it doesnt do that.  It keeps thinking that the car is being started or is started when in armed mode.  and I dont know what

the alarm alarm name is condcordia auto www.concordia-auto.com

thanx again guys

you have several choices for the picture:

a) put it up anywhere on the web and give him the link. IExp will automatically resize it on view.

b) you can open it up in any image editing program and do an image resize to reduce it.

c) email me the picture (help@mark007.com) and I can do it for you if you are still having trouble.
