2002 Hyundai Elantra

I think my remote start problems may be coming from the need of a "Tach" signal, but I don't know where my under the hood tach wire is.  Anyone?

you should be able to go tachless, if you use a distributor wire make sure that you have the right one and hopefully it never shorts out.  We had a problem when a wire grounded out and fried an ignition coil.  I recommend going tachless unless there is a dedicated tach wire.

Orange at distributer should work fine.  Connections under hood when done properly should never cause any problems.  Alwayse solder the connection.  Connectors are prone to corrode and cause problems down the road.  If you wish to test this wire, use an AC Volt meter.  The voltage shoud fluctuate with engine RPM.  Good Luck!
