I think the com is the switch, by the looks of the diagram, but not sure what nc and no represent. I'm trying to hook this unit to a 93 C/K1500 chevy pick-up, can anyone help? I have relays and harnesses on the way.It looks like this

nc----orange

com--white (with a switch)

no---yellow

nc---ORANGE / black

com--WHITE/ black (with a switch)

nc---yellow/black

 Thanks for any help

Daryl

If you can elaborate on what you're installing it'd be helpful - is this a stand alone central locking system, power locks with a switch, power locks controlled by an alarm or keyless entry unit, or are you just trying to control the trucks factory power locks with your alarm/keyless/remote start?

I'm sorry, keyless entry, I think I could figure it out, but I'd like to verify I'm doing it right.

no= normally open

nc= normally closed

door locks on this vehicle are reverse polarity, use a DRL module like DEI's 451M and away you go

Why do you have 3 N/C and only one N/O ?? That doesn't make any sense to me at all ? What kind of system is this as this is the wiring information for an internally driven alternating polarity relay set  up.

I must not have got enough sleep, should read 2)nc    2)com    2)no   Do I need this DEI 451M  module or can I make it work with a couple of relays?

If the unit has these already in there, you do not need relays or the 451M . The internal relay bank you have in this KE module will do all the types of systems. You just have to know how to hook them up. I need to know if you have the 2 door or 4 door model ?

I have a 2 door. But I'm not sure how to hook-up which wire to hook were. I did find the wires on the truck tho. I never check when I had it apart if the wires are gounded in the neutral position. Also the wires are about 18-20 guage, I was thinking I need relays to get enough voltage to trip the actuators.

Power Lock LT BLUE
Power Unlock BLACK/ RED

BEHIND AND BELOW DRIVER SPEAKER IN DASH
#203- See Reversal Rest At Ground Door Lock Diagram.

this what i have for that door lock system:

unlock NO 12v
unlock COM motor side of unlock wire
unlock NC switch side of unlock wire

lock NO 12v
lock COM motor side of lock wire
lock NC switch side of lock wire

you will need to cut the lock wire in two. the wires will hook up like above diagram...

what are the colors and the listed polarity for each wire listed on your paper work?

com--white (with a switch)

no---yellow

nc---ORANGE / black

com--WHITE/ black (with a switch)

no---yellow/black

Um, I think we have a problem Houston! I seem to have 12 volt constant on the ORANGE / black wire and WHITE/ black  wire also, and I'm thinking this isn't correct.

Where do you have the wires hooked up to?

I have them hooked to relays, it will unlock, but I have not power to the lock wire when I push the lock button orange wire (resting) should have continuity to my (NC)white wire(nothing) and power up yellow when button on the remote is pressed(nothing), Everything works as it should on the unlock side.

the yellow NO wire should be powering up the white common wire whenever the button is pushed. the white wire and the orange wire should have continuity except when the button is pushed.

That exactly what I think also, but have no continuity at the orange & white at rest and no continuity at white and yellow when  unlock button is pushed on the remote. "Bad module is what I'm thinking"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying that white and yellow have continuity at rest and white and orange have continuity when the button's pushed? If that's the case you could probably switch a couple wires around and have it working.

Do you have more information about the NC, NO & the COM wires ? You CAN wire in the 5 wire reverse polarity system with the onboard relays, but I need more information as far as what the wires are supposed to be for.

The wires NC-COM-NC, are for the lock-unlock wires leading to the lock system on my truck. As the picture above show, I should have at rest, and I do, have continuity at the orange and white wires, also the  ORANGE / black and and WHITE/ black wires.

When I push the lock button: it should switch the white from orange to yellow(internal relay) sending 12 volt to to the lock switch (it doesn't), no 12 volts at the white wire. When the lock button is pushed it (does)breaks continuity between the orange and white wires, but does not contact the white to orange, thus no 12 volts at the white wire to activate the locks. This is my problem

When I push the unlock button: the WHITE/ black wire switches from the ORANGE / black(internal relay) to the yellow/black wires sending 12 volt to unlock the doors, and I have no continuity at the ORANGE / black and the WHITE/ black wires. And I have 12 volts at the WHITE/ black wire, because the WHITE/ black wires are in contact with the yellow/black wire sending 12 volt to the lock actuator. unlocking the doors. This side works good.

Also, the remote start doesn't work, I'm thinking the module cannot sense that the alarm is set, thus not allowing the remote start feature to work. I'm not sure on this, just a hunch tho. The alarm feature does work.

I should also mention that the orange  and the ORANGE / black are hooked to ground. The yellow and yellow/black wires are hooked to 12 volt constant.
