Here is the question I sent to trilogic.

>>>>>>>>

 My  Question:
 Hello,
 I have jdl-pk in my jeep grand cherokee 2001. Most of the time the windows
 are rolled up corectly by the module however once in a while one window
 will not colse all of the way up. The window will start rolling up later
 than the other windows and will stop before it reaches the top. The module
 was purchased in december and it had the newest revision at that time.
 Can you please recomend a solution.

>>> I got the reply.

 This probelm is not from the kit, is has to do with the window module in your vehicle.
>>>>>>

Any idea what they are talking about? It sounds like a standard reply meaning not to bother them :(

Thanks in advance.

I have been having lots of problems with my JDL-PK also. I contacted tech supt several times and always followed what they told me but now i have had it.

1 - they told me it is supposed to close all 4 windows - it only does the front

2- once i remote started and it put the car in "limp mode" because i interupted the databus comm. Once i unpluged the unit the check engine light went off

3- some time the horn will honk 3 quick times, just like when you power the unit up - only it does it ramdomly and the real problem is that my wipers operate over the databus so when the unit freaks out i loose wipers for 3-4 seconds.

I HAD the DEI unit and never should have given in up for the databus window rollup

the DEI will be going back in - i had it for 3 years with 0 problems

I do not have major problems with it except the window rollup. The customer support sucks big time. Here is their answer when I asked for more info.

>>>
If this is a vehicle issue you will have to take it to your local Jeep dealer to see what may be the problem. The problem is not the result of the JDL-PK.
>>>

Does anyone have any more ideas?

Thanks

It is set up for all windows. No problem with the rear windows rollup. It is front that sometimes does not roll all of the way up.

I also have a 2001Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the same bypass module for the doorlocks and the window rollup.  My unit does the same thing yours does but sporadically.  Most of the time it rolls all the windows up, but every once and a while it will leave the drivers side cracked a little.

Mine also sounds the factory horn before remote starting.  It is like the module takes a second to disarm the factory alarm, so it will go off for about a second.  I will remote start it while armed and the horn will honk.  If I disarm the aftermarket alarm and them remote it, the horn doesn't honk.  Strange?

And yes you are right, the tech support does suck!!  Sorry for not helping.

I had some problems with the JDL-PK with an '03 Jeep and I just disconnected the entire thing and re-programmed the unit to the Jeep. After that, the customer had 0 problems with it. Sometimes the databus information on the module doesn't comunicate properly with the vehicle and you get problems such as what your having.

Velocity Motor;

I was thinking about doing that. I will disconnect and reprogram it again. Thanks for giving me some hope in doing so.

Davedyer;

You can fix your problem with the horn.
JDL needs to see a true ground so you have to run the RS (brown wire) signal from the alarm through the relay for true ground. I had the same problem. JDL does not get the signal and the factory alarm is NOT disarmed by JDL when the remote start is initiated, so the factory alarm is triggered when the accessories are turned on.
