Hello all.  I have a confusing one here.

I installed 791xv along with 516L talking module.

Alarm works perfect; but when alarm is deactivated and autostart is used, or even when autostart is started with alarm on and then disarmed, if you open one of the doors the talking module says "door violation" ..... even though alarm is deactivated.

Thanks in advance!

NOT FAMILIAR W/ 791 BUT DO YOU WANT THE VEHICLE ARMED EVERY TIME REMOTE STARTS...OR DOES IT NOT MATTER...IF IT DOES NOT MATTER THEN DOES YOUR R/S HAVE A WIRE OR OPTION TO DIS ARM ALARM WHEN VEHICLE IS BEEING R/S'ED...??

I know EXACTLY what yer talking about! I have the same problem with my 555l. But I have a crimestopper cs2005 hooked up to it instead of a viper 791xv. When I remote start the car with the alarm and then open a door, it says "INTRUDER ALERT! DOOR ACCESS!" and repeats it like 3 or 4 times I think it has something to do with the anti grind output. When the remote start is activated, the alarm grounds the orange wire(which is also hooked to the 555l). So the talking module thinks the alarm is armed when its really just in remote start mode. I have thought about wiring up a relay like a starter kill relay to kill this orange wire to the 555l upon remote starting, or maybe even every time the ign is on. But I have yet to try it out yet. Does anyone else think this might work?

Hey thanks for the great but simple idea, Cutdog!  I have talked with several professional installers telling me to install a diode on the GREEN door input wire going into the 516L.  The only prob with that is you now have no door info going into the module.... I tried reversing the diode and problem is still there.  Diode will not fix problem...

What I ended up doing is with the green wire going into 516L disconnected, there is no problem, but now have no door notification with voice..

I took a relay and hooked the green wire from the 516l to the door input wire on alarm, using normally closed.  I hooked the coil in the relay to the ign1 wire, and now whenever the truck is started, it will not show an input to the 516l.  if the truck is shut off, the circuit is closed and operates as normal.

Hope this helps everybody who had this problem.

My problem is a bit more involved than yours. I'm trying to shut off the voice module completely when the car is running. Not only do I have the door problem like you do, but whenever the remote start is activated the 516l thinks that the alarm is armed. So sometimes when its running from remote start the shock sensor triggers the violation message on the voice module. Thats why I was thinking about killing that orange wire to bypass the 516l any time the car is running.
