I have a brand new to me 2003 Dodge Durango R/T with the factory alarm system, I would like to add a remote start unit and still be able to use my factory remote. I know that this is possible, but what I would like to know is:

1. Which add-on system do you all recommend ??

2. There are 3 buttons on the factory remote lock, unlock, and panic. Normally they say I can use my lock-lock, or unlock-unlock buttons, I would prefer to use the just PANIC button, of course I think I have to hold it down for like 3 seconds or so to activate, is this possible ??

Thanks for any info and help. God Bless.

best suggestion is to get an alarm called clifford matrix rs3.5 has lock unlock remote start shock sensor kill switch two responder pager that pages u if car is being tampered with and panic. because a factory alarm is not an actual alarm its just a keyless entry system that locks and umlocks your door but no protection what so ever. so if a thief was to break glass alrm will not go off. so just go aftermarket and get what u wnat and then some for more or less the same price
