Hey guys,

I'm installing a dei rattler 310d on a Honda Civic 2001 and I've run into a couple of problems.

1. My car has separate door trigger wires for each door (driver, passenger, & rear).  The alarm has only one wire (green) to hook up to a door trigger, so do I just hook the green wire to all three door triggers?

2. The car doesn't lock/unlock from the alarm remote after installing keyless entry.  I used the WHITE/ blue for lock and the WHITE/ green for unlock above the driver's kick but it still doesn't work.  The factory keyless entry remotes still work.

Thanks,

Russell

Thanks for the help, but where is the "20 pin connector in #201" for power lock?

I tapped into the WHITE/ blue & WHITE/ green at the drivers kick panel just before the car wires connected to a white wire harness.  After the wire harness, the wires go to the side panel of the door.  Did I tap into the wires at the right place?

So if I did tap into those wires correctly, why doesn't my alarm remote control the locks?  What else could affect the lock/unlock?

I double checked my wires and found the problem.  The keyless entry now works  posted_image

But I'm still trying to figure out the door triggers.  I don't understand the diode isolation procedure for the door triggers.  Could someone explain it or tell me if there is an easier way for the door trigger?

Just use a 1 amp diode ( you can get them at RadioShack).  Make sure that the stripe/band side is going to the door tringgers!!!!

use the domelight GREEN/ red wire does smae function as door trigger might just have to wait for inside light to turn off after all doors being closed so it can then work

I still need help with the triggers.

1. I was told the triggers are on a gray 8 pin plug on the driver's kick panel and I believe I found it but I don't see a GREEN / WHITE wire.  I see a blue/white wire.  So i don't think this is the right plug.

2. The dei website said it was on the green factory alarm plug above the driver's kick panel.  I see a green plug but it isn't attached to anything.  The plug is way too high for me to work on and there are wires coming out of only one end of the plug.  The plug faces downward so all I'm able to see is the plug but I can feel wires coming out of the top of it.

3. I was thinking of using the dome light.  I know the wire is GREEN/ red near the fuse box but I see a lot of these wires.  Could someone specify with a more in depth description.

Could anyone help me with any of these problems?

ya... the reason theres nothing coming out of it is cause it doesn't have a factory alarm.... they would just plug into this to install the alarm(i wish my job was that easy).   It should be christ-tree plugged into the kickpanel steel, just yank on it, it will come down, then you can work with it, I normally would not recommend Bulldog security products, but they have a plug that plugs right into it:

Wow, I pulled it and it came down.  I isolated the triggers with diodes and they work posted_image Thanks Defective!!

Next is the parking lights.  I found the - wire for the lights but I need the GREEN/ red + wire.  I was told it is behind the fuse box but how do get to it?  Are there any easier places to tap into the + parking lights?

you can find the positive p.l in the flip-dowm poket to the left of steering wheel   ...one screw holding in pocket and the wire is right there...
