ok, yeah, i must be tired bc i knew better than to try and lock the door while its open so i figured that one out. My only other prob is that its picking up a tach signal way to soon. It just barely turns over b4 it stops. I used and tested the blue wire on the pass. side but i did notice that once its running, it goes right to about 7.3 volts and doesnt really change with giving it throttle. Its a 2001 Civic. I tred disconnecting the tach wire and it started btu kept grinding obviously. Anyone have any idea. Using logic, like i said, it seems as though its giving a tach signal really early, but im not sure. Thanks for anyones help. ~Ed

There are two blue wires near the ignition coil, are you sure that you used the correct one ? If you did but are still getting a poor signal , go straight to your injector wire ( use the uncommon colored one ) you will have 4 to choose from, but take the one closest to you on the driver side. Hope this helps.

BTW.: if you are using a manual programming remtoe starter, you will have to program it for 1 cylinder operation otherwise if it's an auto tach learning, just re-program the tach learning option and it will pick it up gauranteed.

The car dont even have coils from what i can tell. At least i cant find them if it does. I tested the wires, they all start giving voltage as soon as the car begins to turn over, in turn telling the alarm the car has started. I did the tach learning over again as well. Same thing so im lost.  One last thing, the wiring diagram i have said to use the blue wire connector next to the battery. It was only one wire and wasnt hooked to anything.
