Hello, I am new to this site and I am already excited to hopefully have a bunch of questions answered by everybody here.  I have learned a lot just by reading posts.  Anyhow, I have a '93 Toyota P/U 4wd ext cab and I want to put an alarm or some type of security device in my truck.  By the way I do not have power locks just so you know.  Anyhow, I would consider myself to be pretty apt with installing things so I do not see an issue with installing something on my truck.  What I would like to know is what alarm would you suggest I get?  I want to get a good one, but I also do not need to be spending more than a couple hundred of dollars though.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't really matter what brand.  Viper, Compustar or Ultrastart are all good brands or any DEI product.  Just make sure that your alarm has the options you want before you buy it  ex. power lock hook up

The most important thing is to protect all entry points including the hood, doors & trunk.  A back up battery siren is also important.

Hope that helps,

Dutch

I favor Compustar systems.
