Hi, new to this forum, don't know much about alarms :)

I am thinking about installing an alarm on my car.  The model I have in mind has certain features I am looking for, yet includes some sensors that I don't want to use.  Would it be easy to leave out the sensors and fool the alarm module into thinking everything is okay (e.g. not reporting errors)?

From the reading I've done so far, it looks like most sensors and triggers are negative triggered.  So would I be able to just tie the input signal wire to constant 12V?  If so, can I just tie it to the alarm module power source, so I don't have to add more fuses, etc?

Thanks in advance!

You have the option to install any or none of the sensors. If you don't want impact sensors you don't have to install them. This does defeat the purpose of having a alarm though, but you can always have the doors and trunk and hood monitored with the alarm.
