I just had my flip down DVD monitor removed from my 2004 Honda Odessy by one of our shining citizens. The factory alarm did no good since the thief went in through the drivers window instead of opening the door. I would like to install a glass break sensor and wire it to the factory alarm. The windows are tinted, but I assume this wouldn't change the signature of the glass breaking enough for the sensor to ignore it.  However, the entire window was found outside of the car, shattered, but the tint was holding it together in roughly its origional shape, so maybe that assumption was a bit of a reach. Short story long, can I use a diode and a glass break sensor and just use the factory door trigger input? Or would an interior motion sensor make more sense? I am trying to avoid a complete alarm sysytem as the factory remote does have a provision that opens the sliding doors. Any help would be greatly appreciated from those who didn't fall asleep reading my drivel.... Thanks.

Finally another Ody owner on here. There is not one aftermarket addition I havent done to my 02 Ody. I imagine you could take a motion or shock and connect the negative trigger to a relay throwing a ground to the door trigger of the vehicle. From the research Ive done on this vehicle their really isnt a "brain" for the security system. Hook up the ground of the motion to your ignition wire as it rests at ground when the ignition is off. I'll have to think about this one more. PM me with questions.

Someone pass me that bottle.
