Yes and hello,

I would like to wire up my varad scanner so that it only lights when I arm the alarm... on the back of the package it says to go to the ( - when armed output) but that output only puts on -200mA which is only enough to energize the coil of the starter kill relay... Do I have to add a relay or what?... one installer told me to go the true ignition wire and it will light once the key is out of the ignition... Is this so?

Yes. If you put the GWA wire to IGN it will work. It will flash the second you turn your key off of IGN. Look for an orange wire for GWA on most aftermarket alarms.. it will be just fine.

Someone pass me that bottle.

Use the ground when armed on the alarm. You will need to diode isolate the ground when armed wire between the connection for the scanner and the starter kill relay. Otherwise it will start blinking with the car only turned off. That happens because the ign wire goes to ground and goes back through the relay.
