I'm planning to install a Valet 561t into my 2004 Nissan Frontier.

Does anyone know if my truck has a factory starter lockout so it won't start in gear. I have an automatic and am not sure if I have to wire the neutral safety switch to the remote start module.

If not does anyone know where the switch is and which wire I have to tap into?

The only thing different about this install is that is has two start wires. (BLACK / YELLOW  grey / YELLOW) You will have to use a relay to power the second start wire.

if you dont know if it will start in gear... try it!  get in your car, put it in gear, and try to start it! not a brain drainer here!

oh, and I have never seen a late model nissan that lets you take the key out of the ignition while it is in gear, so unless you are leaving your keys in the car, you should not have a problem!

I know it won't start in gear, I'm just asking what to do with the neautral safety wire on the R/S.

It doesn't hurt to hook it up, if you can find the NSS for your car. (It _is_ possible for a transmission to slip into gear w/o the starter lockout kicking in. This is fairly unlikely.)

However, in automatic cars, most people don't bother hooking it up, so that wire's often harder to find. Might want to try a Nissan-specific group, if you're like me and anal about hooking these things up...
