Today my friend and I installed a CrimeStopper alarm & power locks ( CS-2000 Series III ). We got everything to work just great, but now my dome light doesn't work. When there is no key in the ignition even the little lights on the mirror dont turn on when i push button. When i put the key in the lights on the mirror do work when i push button. When i slide the dome light all the way up, the dome light and mirror lights work.

So like when the door is open, the dome light dont come on......

The only wires we spliced that have even anything to do with it is the brown wire for parking lights, black ground wire thats on that brighter and less brigter slider thing and a white wire on a light bulb (door trigger negative). Acoording to the vihicle info page im supposed to connect "

Purple (-)

Light Switch Harness

but there are 2 purples... so i just figured i can do the white one on the bulb on the bottom since they turn on anyways...

any ideas??? Thanks

try removing the door trigger wire from where you tapped into it, and see if it goes back to normal. If it does then relay isolate the door trigger wire.

alarm is unplugged now...and i removed the trigger wire...it still doesnt work. Why doesn't work????

uh i fixed it...i forgot to plug in this thing lol

now if i can stop the beeping wen i push door open...and maybe so my dash lights dont flash humm
