2000 chevy venture w/ultrastart 1250 TL 1. How many connections on (-)out when running is two many? Currently I have anti-grind thru relay, interrupting automatic headlights thru relay, and passkey bypass module. This is the orange wire, its a 250ma output. 2. Can i use the rearm wire to activate the rear defrost if i program it to work after start only? This would be the yellow wire, also a -250ma output (pulse).

1. 2 should be the most to have on a 250mA output.
2. Don't know. Being in AZ I have never hooked up a defroster, what is the point.

First of all, what bypass module are you using? I am pretty sure they fixed the issue by now, but the no key required bypass module made by bypasskit.com called the PKG5 needs to be diode isolated if the (-)out when running wire is connected to multiple functions. You should isolate the wires with diodes anyways.
Your other option would be to use a relay.
pin 30 to all three wire (diode isolated)
pin 87 to a fuse and then to chassis ground
Pin 86 to 12v+
Pin 85 to the (-) out when running from unit
Just one question:
Are you sure you need the anti-grind relay? 2001 Ventures don't need them since that is a factory feature. Also, I noticed when installing on a 2001 venture that the starter only needs a split second pulse to the starter wire and the car takes over and holds the starter just as long as is needed to start the car. You can test this by just turning the key all the way to the end of the start position and then letting go right away. you will know right away if the vehicvle has this feature. As far as testing for the factory anti-grind relay feature, I am sure you know how to test for that :D

Thanks for the info, will check it out. I forgot to say they were all diode isolated. What about the defrost?

I'm not sure about the defrost. The wire is white and (-) from my notes but they do not say if it is just a pulse or if a constant output is needed. Let me know what you find out.
