I have a Crimestopper CS2016FM Partially Installed on a 1991 Mercedes 300E. I have not hooked up the ignition kill relay or the remote starter simply because I need to take an afternoon off (the ignition wires are a pain to get to). Everything else works fine, except the valet/program button. It won't do anything. It wont program codes, switch to valet mode, or even disarm the alarm. I've checked the switch with a multimeter, and sure enough its fine. I've also checked the pins on the brain, one has 12v, the other ground. Is it not working simply because I do not have everything hooked up?

The reason I ask is, I need to program a 3 second pulse for my door locks. I can hear the vacuum pump kick on, but it does not stay on long enough.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Usually valet button needs to see an ignition signal to operate. It should work after you connect your ignition wire at the ignition harness.
