On my classic Arrow 3 system all it takes is 1-push button to start the car.

On the Matrix 3.5, how come I need to press it twice?

Is there a way to change this so I only need to press it once?

Thanks

In the install manual it shows how to reprogram it so you only have to push it once (single pulse activation). You can also reconfigure it so you have to push two buttons at once for it to start so it does not get started accidentally with the single button.

Otherwise without the manual I do not know how.

I had an Installer do my Truck.

Will this reprogramming need to be done at the shop or a simple do-it-yourself?

Thanks

If you have the install manual and access to the valet button and can read instructions it should be easy. If not you installer should be able to do it pretty quickly.

the manual wont help you without the valet push switch..if it wasnt installed then get it from them.....you will either need this switch or a bitwriter to reprogram this feature

By default, if you press the * button twice, it performs remote start (up to 3 tries). Same thing turns the car off (if it was started successfully). If you press the 'arm' and 'disarm' buttons simultaneously, then it performs the remote start but on a timer.

If you go to the DEI site and look up the alarm, you should be able to find the installation/programming guide. That's where I found it when I had to install mine and the guide wasn't at hand.

... and then there was JDM!
