Ok, I attempted to install power door locks into my 2 door honda civic with the intention on adding a keyless entry RS later on down the road. Well anyway, i bought a 2 door MES central locking kit off of ebay. I heard good things about MES and supposedly their kits are pretty decent for the money. Well anyways I installed the kit as to the sub-par directions, with a little bit of my own flavor mixed in... The actuators appeared to be to moving back and forth with my help in a seamless motion, then the exciting part happened... I connected the power and the ground wires directly to the battery as directed. Then I locked and unlocked one of the doors to see what would happen, and nothing. The control module makes a clicking noise when it is locked and unlocked and so does the actuator but for whatever reason the other actuator doesnt move at all. I spent probably half an hour adjusting the actuators thinking that maybe it has to do with the area of travel, but aparently that didnt do anything for it... I dont know if anyone here has installed an MES kit or one close to it, but I figured I would come see if someone here could help me, because no one else can. thanks!

i guessing you have 5 wire motors and you double checked all the wires and they are hooked up right???????

check the voltage that is coming into the unit and make sure it is well above 10v

if you hook a test light to the wires you can see when you hit the remote if any are lighting up also. ------------- newby
