I'd like to read up ahead alil bit so i know what to expect, since i'm replacing the viper 790 i have now.

Well I done some researching and I have a feeling it's not possible to use the factory underhood and trunk light switch.

It should be ok to use as long as the alarm has - triggers on it. The light should switch to ground if im not mistaken but be sure to double check with a DMM.

Trunk light is possible, but hood, I would just use the hood pin that the system supplies.
