Hi, I'm working on installing the Clifford Matrix RS 3.5 in my 2000 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner V6 and I was wondering where I should connect the Orange accessory output wire on the relay key switch interface?

The manual says to find the accessory wire that powers the climate control system (although I'm not sure what the climate control system has to do with it).  According to the vehicle wiring info I have, the accessory wire is a blue/red wire in the ignition harness, but I cut the wire, then turned on the blower to see if I cut the right wire and the blower still works.  I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Also, I'm not sure about the WHITE/ blue remote start (-) activation input wire (H1/3).  Do you need an extra switch to make use of this wire?  Can I just leave this empty and use remote start with the remote only?

And finally, if anyone can explain the toggle (override) switch a little bit.  I know that one wire from the switch should go to the BLACK/ white neutral safety switch input wire (H3/5) and the other should go the the park/neutral wire from the car, but I don't know which of the two wires from the toggle to hook up to what.  The toggle says on/off, but how exactly is it to be used.  I guess I just don't quite understand this part and could use a little explanation.

Any help is greatly appreciated!  I've finished hooking most of the other stuff up and I'm trying to get this done by tomorrow.

Thanks,

David

-Accessory: BLUE/RED IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS

-WHITE/ blue: dont do anything w/ it

-BLACK/ white(neutral): just ground it or use the toggle switch---- connect the BLACK/ wht at one end, and the other end to ground.

Thanks.  I was also wondering... what should I do with the 4 pin harness that goes to the relay satellite?  I'm not sure where to connect any of those wires.

The blue/red wire just covers your radio and things like that. Your wire for the blower is the same as your second ignition.

So which one should I connect the orange accessory output wire to, the blue/red accessory wire or the BLACK/ red second ignition?

Thanks!

-ur matrix has two ignition wires and one acc, use it accordingly.
|        IGNITION|BLACK / YELLOW        |+ |ignition harness            |
| SECOND IGNITION|BLACK/ red           |+ |ignition harness            |
|        ACCESSORY|blue/red            |+ |ignition harness

-to verify this, simply test all wire at ign harness w/ a DMMeter. check ur install manual on how to test each wire.

-the four pin at the end of the satellite relay pack, you dont need it for ur installation.

The BLACK/ red is your primary, the BLACK / YELLOW is your 2nd and the one to hook to for your climate control. Or that is the way it was on mine.

Hmmm, I finished the install and everything works fine, but I connected BLACK / YELLOW as primary ignition, BLACK/ red as 2nd ignition, and blue/red as accessory. Does that matter?

Also, what would be the advantage of hooking up the orange accessory output wire to the BLACK / YELLOW, if that's the one that powers the climate control? Either way, once the car starts running, the climate control system will start running as well, right?
