Hello, I have an avital avistart 4100. Currently the parking lights flash while the car is remote started. How do I change it so that they are constant? What is the learn procedure/routine? I located the valet/program switch but I can't seem to get any setting to take with it. If someone could give me the procedure I would like to compare it to what I have been trying. Also, anyone know if these settings can be locked (if so that might explain why I can't get mine to take)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

w/ door open, turn key to ON then off.
press and hold valet button until you hear 3 chirps, youre now in menu #3.
press the valet button 4 times, the 4th time hold it. it will chirp 4 times to confirm. while holding it, press unlock to change to constant.

I tried to no avail. Not able to hear any sort of chirping. I also have tried viewing the LED on the brain for any flashes throughout the learning procedure (my manual says it should blink) and I have not seen it blink yet. My manual explains a similar procedure that doesn't work either. It is: turn key to ON then OFF then press the button 4 times and on the 4th hold. Press unlock (button 2) to change to contant. What else can I try? Please help! I will paypal $10 to the person with the solution that fixes my problem as a token of my appreciation!

what bitwriter will interface with this remote start (avital avistart 4100). I am considering buying one off ebay, using it once, and then reselling it. Is the bitwriter option a guarantee fix for this problem? Will it unlock this damn thing?

like you were already told.... cycle ign on then off... press the valet button 4 times, then press and hold it... the LED will flash 4 times to confirm...then press button 2 on your remote.... this will switch from flashing to constant....

tried it a thousand times, no luck. No LED flash, nothing... Could it be locked (is that even possible)?

it can be lock by the bitwritter so that measn u have to go back to the dealer to have them unlock it.

Turn the key to on then off. Press the valet button five times, holding it down on the fifth press. Try not to press the button too fast. Wait two seconds and then press button two (unlock) on your remote. The led will not blink on the brain to confirm this step. It should be off at that time. Remote start and see if the lights are constant. You must press the valet button five times because you are trying to access the fourth feature. Then you must press it once more and hold it., thus five times total then hold. Good luck! -------------
