Factory alarm problem

I just hooked up my Astroflex RS starter in my 2001 Altima and it works fine:  doors lock/unlock with the remote and the car starts with the remote (with transponder bypass installed) but the problem is the factory alarm doesn't arm or disarm when i lock or unlock the doors, respectively.    Here are my wire diagrams for my doors and factory alarm:

Right now i have the Power lock and unlock wires connected. Am i suppose to connect the Power lock wire to the factory alarm disarm also and the same for the power unlock wire?  Would this make my car arm/disarm when i lock/unlock the doors?  

What you need to do is give the LIGHT GREEN/ RED wire a negative signal in order to engage the OEM factory alarm. Then you need to give the GREEN/ YELLOW wire a negative signal when you unlock the doors. Just having the door locks is not enough to engage the OEM alarm system.

The only thing I'm not 100 % on is wether or not the OEM arm & disarm wires require the negative signal to be pulsed or constant. You can test this out by using a wire and giving the respective wires a pulsed or constant and see what happens.

Am i suppose to use the lock/unlock wires to supply this negative signal (pulsed according to Player69, right?) ?  If i am suppose to use these wires, if the alarm is activated, couldn't a thief just use the unlock button on the door to disarm the alarm? and wouldn't locking the doors arm the alarm everytime i use the lock button on the doors?

What model of astro start do you have?  If it is a newer one 126, 1105, 2106 it will have programmable outputs.  You will use pulse before for the disarm and there is a wire for alarm rearm (orange IIRC) and can be programmed for different rearm types.  If it does not have these outputs you can use lock and unlock with diodes so that it will arm and disarm when the remote start is locked or unlocked but not when the factory door locks are pushed.

I have the 1105 model and it has the "pulse before start" wire if that's what you mean.  But I don't see how i can use this output to disarm the alarm if this output is only activate right before starting the RS.  I don't think i have the orange wire (alarm rearm).

Talking about the lock wire first, would i split this coming from the RS and send one to the door lock and the other to a diode then to the alarm arm?

Pulse before does a pulse before start and pulse before unlock.  You will have the orange wire on the 1105.

As far as the diodes are concerned, you will need 2 diodes per wire. hook the wire up to both diodes then run the other end of each diode (one to lock, one to disarm) etc.    The stripe on the diode should be towards the remote starter. 

The 1105 definately has the capability to do this without diodes.  The installation manual explains it fairly well.  Let me know if you have any trouble,

thanks Player69.  After reading what u said about the pulse before start, i wondered what the other wire i didn't use did, the pulse after shutdown.  Well turns out the pulse after shutdown sends a pulse after shutdown and pulse before lock, so i can use this wire to arm the factory alarm.
