yes, make sure the yellow ignition sense wire on the remote start ribbon is connect to an IGN wire for some functions to work but not necessary.

also wanted to know the easiest way to check the alarm to see if it works without a full install? tried hooking up the red and black wire with the siren and led plugged in but nothing ? i have a manual trans chevy and cant use the remote start.

from the primary harness, plug red to 12v source and black to ground..... also plug in the antenna

i tried that but nothing worked. i'v hooked up at least 30 alarms including a viper 800 esp in my 66 chevelle but never had as much problems .asked around town for somebody to install but the price range was 150. to 250. thanks for your help ------------- ripn_tim

i think its best to let someone thats familiar w/ thse stuff to handle. i dont want to discourage you or anything, i can tell you how to test it and such but it will wont be efficient over the forum
