the 556u is the best way to go. the 555f can be a bit of a pain triing to get that pellet in the right spot and still be able to reinstall the column.

555F won't work on that truck , use a 556U and a spare key. As far as the GEM module,  it  can sometimes be disable the sleepy locks, read the owners manual, it is called "  door lock Inhibit". But simetimes it not neccesary. Ford stop using that feature on some of their newer models.

I installed a Mannix remote/alarm on my 03 Taurus, I assume it has the sleepy locks, works great

forget the dei module, trilogix has a great module that learns the code and you dont lose a key,and you dont even have to tear apart the column shroud.PKF3 is the part# www.transponderbypass.com

the 555f is a joke. DEI is way behind on their interfaces
