Hi everyone... I've tried to install my Viper 550esp today.  But I could not get the remote door locks to work.  I know I have a negative lock and unlocking system (honda accord 94).  But I have no idea how to let the alarm know it should be in Type B vs Type A (the default I'm guessing).  Someone please help :)  It should be a simple fix.

Thanks

David

DEI alarms do both. It is just the wiring that is different. For -locks(type B) you use the Green for lock and the blue for unlock. For +locks(type A) you use the blue for lock and green for unlock.

Interesting.  I did that, and I still can't get it work :/  I'm goin to try it again.  Thanks

I used to have a Viper 300, it only did negative.  Let me play with it some more.

Thanks again

make sure youre pulsing negative to the correct wires.  if you are sure you have the right wires for lock and unlock then make sure the alarm isnt faulty...meter the lock/unlock outputs and make sure they work.  if you have the right wires and the alarm is outputting pulses then you may need relays for the keyless to work.

*SOLUTION FOUND!*

Thank you both of you for the help.  I had ideas but I had so many ideas that I didn't know which ones to try first.  Now that you guys have narrowed down for it, I figured it out!

Yep, the negative pulses worked, I checked them by touching the leads to the ground manually.  It turned out that the Viper 550 has TWO slots that fit the 3 pin harness, I put it in the wrong one!  (I'm not using the remote start features, so there are a lot of empty harness ports).

Thanks

David
