Hi everyone,

I'm a litle new to car alarm.  I did several searches and came up with no solutions so I will make a new post to ask a very simple question.  I hope you guys will take a few minutes to answer it.  Basically I have a Viper 550 ESP, and I love it, now I'm just asking incase my remote battery dies or remote breaks.  If I have the key, how will i be able to disable the alarm?

On my old alarm (viper 300) I simply just start the car and tuggle the valet switch.

Thanks

David

This alarm is the same way.  All you have to do is get in the car, turn on the ignition, hit the valet switch and it should disarm.

that alarm can be set to disarm form 1-5 pulse on the valet buton.

You have to hold the valet button for 1 second then release, the alarm will turn off a 2 seconds later. Also it is 1 second for every pulse, so if it is 3 pulses it would be hold for a second, release for a second, hold for a second, release for a second, hold for a second, release, disarm 2 seconds later.

Ah!  I never knew a pulse was "a second"  that might just be the info that I needed.  Thanks everyone!
