i have a question about my 93 Cadillac Seville remote trunk release...
i recently baught the car and it came with an Astroflex keyless entry remote...
the question i have is i am curious as to why all the functions on the remote work(remote start, door locks, door unlocks) except for the trunk release button?
when i sit in the car and listen carefully i can hear a noise (somewhat like a clicking sound) coming from the area around the foot pedals when i press the trunk release button on the remote, (i assume the keyless remote sensor is trying to send a signal to the trunk relay) so i have to assume the car is recieving the signal and it is not a problem with the remote....also the trunk release button in the glove compartment works
i would like to know how to fix this problem or what i can do to get my trunk release on my remote to work
Shoul be a Relay around there going to the Factory harness wire :
Trunk Release | BLACK (+) | RELEASE SW. OR DRIVER KICK PANEL |
Check to see if is hooked up & check the Voltage

it's probably not hooked up. You would be best off to find a wire diagram for the alarm, trace the trunk release wire, and see if it's hooked up. If it's not there's your problem. Sounds like it's flippin a relay in the alarms module but it's not connected.

the trunk release wire is a neg(-) output
the p1 connector, grey wire, use a relay
