How do you get the dome light to go out faster?  My problem is, when i get out of my car and arm the alarm, the doors lock and my alarm (aftermarket not OEM) arms and my dome light stays on for about 30-35 seconds then goes out, well my alarm has a Door open reminder, if it senses the door is open (it does this by seeing if the dome light is one) for more than 20 seconds after it arms, it makes the alarm go off until it goes out.  So basically, I have to wat about 15 seconds to arm my alarm otherwise after the 20 seconds is up my aalrm sounds for another 10-15 seconds.  Its a real PAIN!  What do i do?

It's just really annoying having to stand there and wait to arm it every time
