does the valet mode have anything with domelight supervision? I recently hooked up dome super and it seems harder for me to get in valet mode(lock, unlock, lock)?

try igniton on off and press the valet botton

Be sure ANY door is OPEN when you do the lock, unlock, lock procedure.

I'm pretty sure the on off valet doesn't work for me. Plus...the installer broke my valet switch when he worked on it last.
