anyone done a remote start on one of these?
I'm looking at one, but worried about the clutch bypass. Never done a bypass on a ford, anyone know of any problems?
Thanks

Remember check all your wires with a DMM!

If you cannot figure out the clutch bypass, sometimes you can connect the starter output to the solenoid wire in the engine compartment however,

#1  use a relay

#2  only install a remote start that is designed for manual transmissions

there are a few microprocessor based car starters (i.e. ultrastart 2250m) that requires the operator to exit the vehcle, shut the door, and turn off the car with the remote. then you know the car is not in gear, unless the driver is going for a wild ride while they are getting out of the vehicle.
