I have heard a myth that you could use your keyless entry to open your car from miles by sending the signal through your cell phone. Has anyone ever tried this?

Yes, Viper and audiovox both are still making a telematics piece. I have installed the viper piece and it works well. Start stop unlock arm disarm and track your vehicle. Must be mated with a esp2 piece to do a lot of those featured but will unlock and track by itself.

No I'm not talking about GPS, or anything like that. I have heard of a wife locking her keys in the car and calling her husband on their cell phones and he press his remote while she was standing by her car and the doors unlocked. (this was on a Ford vehicle) I have tried many different cars and alarms without out successposted_image
