Wanted to wire up a relay with a Viper 130XV Remote Start to pop the trunk on a 2003 Toyota Camry.

Here's what I tried:

On the relay: 30 - WHITE/ blue trunk wire (driver kick)
              85 - RED / white wire (viper brain)
              86 - constant 12v (+)
              87 - ground (-)

Didn't seem to pop the trunk. Any input?

You are holding the button down for 3-5 seconds right?

I agree with (auex) look in your manual see if you have to hold the button.

Find the key detector wire for the trunk as well, its directly under the trunk wire...(wich is rev polarity)

wire your relay as followscut the trunk pop wire Lt.blue/white the dash side of the wire goes to pin 87a, the trunk side to 30. 12 volts fused 10 amps to 87 and 86. your neg. trigger to 85. From the trigger wire BEFORE the relay jump that over to the key detecter wire (neg trig) with a diode in line. cathode end (the line) towards your unit. The key detector wire is lt. GREEN / WHITE. This will trick the factory security into thinking the key is being used, no need to disarm before popping the trunk!

If you dont have factory security disreguard the key detect stuff, and wire up the relay the same way as above!!
