Hello, I was reading up on Neutral Safety Switchs for a manual transmission so you can remote start without having to worried about if the car is in gear.

I know Peripheral Neutral Safety Switch  makes a device but i cant seem to find a place online that sells it

Can anyone help me out on were i can buy one or know of something similar that i can use.

this might be what you are looking for, but it's useless. https://peripheralelectronics.com/2002/security_bypasses.asp. the usual way to get around this problem is to use your ebrake switch as the neutral safety switch, but the car can of course still be remote started if the car is in gear, with the ebrake on. Even with the bypass module (https://peripheralelectronics.com/2002/security_bypasses.asp) The transmission on a manual doesn't have any gear sensing electronics, other than for reverse, and that isn't a big help as far as safety goes.

Not true. Some vehicle manufacturers incorporate a neutral position indicator switch built into the tranny. It's very possible to use this output coupled with the e-brake to make remote start just as safe as a unit that's properly installed into an auto transmission.

Wouldnt this "Peripheral Neutral Safety Switch " make it just as safe as a alarm with a built in one?. That is the reson why i was asking to get it. I already have a nice python 880XP 2way paging alarm so i dont really want to buy a new oen.

Why is it usless, i thought its a pretty good almost fail save way for a manual tranny remote start system. Does it not work right or?
