Subject: 95 Cavalier Car Alarm Problems

I have a nitro  2 way fm car alarm and the problem that i am haveing is when i disable the alarm and go in get in the car to start and i drive off within maybe 30 seconds the alarm goes off. What could that be if anyone can help me out. I have a chevy cavalier 1995

Yes I install the alarm myself
this is the first time i notice it and the only thing i hook up was the alarm part i didn't hook up the remote start put because i don't think i need that part do i or can that be my problem that i am having and aslo do the 95 cavalier have any passlock 1 or 2 on it and if so where would be the wires and where to locate them

have you tested all your connections.
 
most alarms have a 2-3 second delay before the siren sounds . your driving for about 30.
 
i've never done these alarms but all triggers should be bypassed if you unarm. could be a fault in the unit. i'm not sure.

If you did not hook up the primary ignition wire on the alarm system to the switch ignition input of the alarm, the alarm will not know that the vehicle has started so if the auto re-arm is programmed, then it will set off the alarm. Did you hook up both swithced ignition input wires ( if applicable )

I am having a problem with the alarm i am having which is a nitro 2way alarm with remote start. What the problem is that i want to know if i have to hook up the orange acc wire and also the second ignition wire which is white i think. I also want to know if this car has a passlock one on it and how i can find it. plz help if you can. Do i have to hook up the remote start part on this alarm for it to function right??? this alarm is really making me madposted_image

The car has Passlock I that you can bypass & the wires are located in the 2 harnesses that the igntiion wires are in. If you want the RS to work properly you have to hook up the ORANGE, WHITE, PINK, RED & YELLOW wires.

Cool I Think I need  a Bypass Kit If I want to Use the Remote Start But If I want to use the Alarm Can I just do That Or Do I have to Hook Up The Whole Thing
