Insalled G5 Solaris in 2000 Corvette, Everything works fine on the car, except I can't get the RPM to program, If i use the software to program, i get nocode error. If i use the valet switch, it just times out and exits the programming mode.

Symptoms

If the system is in manual mode, I start the car with key, press (clifford TWICE then double star ONCE) I only get one flash and the car shuts down when I turn the key off.

If the system is in automatic mode, I hit the single star on remote the car cranks sometimes even starts for about a second or so and then turns off, I think it does that because it can't read the RPM.

Another question I had was how to set this system so i can use volt sense instead of RPM.

Thanks for all the help

Go to the person who sold you the alarm ask them to sell you a tach signal generator model #905150 install it it is very simple problem solved.Or go to a ffuel injector wire any uncommon color from the injector plug.

Called the person and nobody seems to know what a tach signal generator is.  Is there any way to make the unit see voltage instead of RPM. If I use the cliffnet software there is a "no tach" option but that still doesn't help.

Another  name for the part is altenator rpm detector (60-2260) this part is sold by directed dealers. The person who sold you the alarm should have acess to this part.Checked the solaris g5 manual there is no provision for voltage sense it needs a tach wire .Have you tried to find a fuel injector wire?
