So i've been installing alarms for about 4 years now and this one is making me angry. I am putting it on a 2000 Dodge Neon Highline with power windows, locks, and a stock security system. I have put the alarm on, hooked up the keyless entry, remote start, hooked up the imobilizer bypass module (556U), everything on the alarm that i hooked up works great.

But here's the kicker. The factory alarm comes on when I lock the car with the alarm that i installed. but when i unlock the car with my remote. The doors unlock, but the factory alarm stays on. So you open the door and the horn goes off.
I wired the locks through the light green wire above the kick panel, as described. i use a neg trigger through a 1.5 ohm to unlock it, and a neg trigger through a 270 ohm to lock it.
Here comes the good part. ---
When i lock it through the 270 ohm resistor using the neg straight from the alarm, the doors lock and the stock alarm comes on. if i use the 270 ohm resistor through a relay and draw the source ground from the chassy, the doors lock but the factory alarm stays off.
But no matter what i do, i cannot get the factory alarm to turn off with the locks. When i use no resistor, relay or not, the car locks and the factory alarm comes on. The owner doesn't care if the factory alarm works or not, but i don't know where it is.
So i either need to disable/remove the factory alarm, or figure out how to effectively disarm the factory system during unlock. Thanks for your input.

Are you double pulsing the unlock wire? You will need to. Also your unlock with factory security should be through a 7500 ohm resister not a 250 ohm resistor. The lock should be through a 2700 ohm resistor not a 1000 ohm resistor. The 1000 & 250 ohm resistors are for the Neons without factory security.

Thanks, I'll give that a try tonight, and let you know how it goes.
