Thanks in advance

well i had the alarm installed by a professional last year. my car is a 1993 fd3s mazda rx7. they said that in order to wire the alarm upto the central locking i will need an extra solenoid in the drivers door because there isnt one fitted as standard. they quoted me an extra £180 on top of the £400 already paid to have this done. I decided to not have this done as i was short of money. In the mean time i have found out how to connect a regular solenoid to the door for only £15 , but my only problem now is that i cannot seem to find the wires from the alarm to lock/unlock the central locking. i have took all the dashboard out and i have tested all the wires coming from the 18pin connector on the clifford unit, but none seem to pulse - or+ 12volts. do you reckon it something that they disabled with the cliffnet cable when they installed it? i bought a cliffnet cable so i could add my smart windows 4 unit, but i desperatly wanted to wire the central locking up before wiring all the smart windows module up. thanks a lot for yor help. what setting shoul i be using for tedting the alarms output. I have been using 20v dc on the tester.

on the side of the unit, where the 18pin plug goes in, there is a small three pin white socket. This is the output plug for the central locking. The two outside pins are the lock/unlock control's.

These are a low - control so you will need to get a Directed 451m unit to power your CDL motor.

A word of warning though. RX7's are a nightmare to install door motors on. The mech's tend to be very stiff and notchy. It will take you a while of mucking around to get it to work properly.

If you get stuck i can supply you with a 451m unit for around £20 including postage etc.
