I have the Valet 562T remote starter. The wires from the unit are not hooked up for the door locks. I know where the wire come out of the unit. But I don't know where to hook them for the door locks. I have another question after this one. But we will do one at a time.

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala. Also I believe this has a Neg. switch.

Could someone please help me out with this?

These wires can be found at the BCM. Should be under the driver's side dash, above the park brake lever.

POWER LOCK      ORANGE / black           gray 24-pin plug @ bcm                Lock and unlock use the same wire. Lock requires a negative trigger with a 470 ohm resistor in-line. Unlock is negative trigger. Must use relays. See
POWER UNLOCK      same wire as lock      -      gray 24-pin plug @ bcm

do you have the 451M doorlock module?       if you dont, you need it... when you get it, the appropriate instructions are inside the package.....

You will need to wire up two relays. connect pins 87 to ground connect pin 86 to 12v connect pin 85 to the negative lock and unlock wires from the remote start. From pin 30 on the lock relay connect a 470ohm resistor then connect it to the orange and black wire.. From pin 30 on the unlock relay connect it directly to the orange and black wire.

Thanks for all you help people.. I really like this forum.. I'll be back

I use Corel Draw 10 to make up my own diagrams. Super easy , but does take time to do.

the 451M is a dual relay module that comes with all the DRL resistors and plugs right into the Valet ( all  DEI units) no wiring needed..... spring the 15 bucks and do it properly..... geeezzz

Thanks for the diagram.. But where do I use the relays at? Do I use them at the ends of the lock / unlock wires?

Also where would I find them? Would they have them at radio shack or something?

POWER LOCK      ORANGE / black           gray 24-pin plug @ bcm                Lock and unlock use the same wire. Lock requires a negative trigger with a 470 ohm resistor in-line. Unlock is negative trigger. Must use relays. See

The above information that was posted before is where you can locate the lock/unlock wire and the output from the  RS/alarm system is required  for pins 85 on each relay. I suggest that if you can not properly read the relay diagram to give this to a professional installer incase you damage something worth more than the cost to get it installed professionally.

Sorry, I didn't that a close enough look at it the first time. I thought the black boxes that you had on there were the door lock units.... My Bad.... I understand it now that I have taken closer look at it. I will print it off and give it a try.

But are these relays something that I can get from Radio Shack?

IS THIS THE ONE?

\I just wanted to make sure this is the right one that I need. The letters are different then the ones you listed. But it's the only 30amp one that I seen there.

Thanks again for your time

Dave

Not the right one. It looks like that but it has 5 prongs and is a SPDT relay.
