I need to know this for installing a remote starter.

Also if anyone knows the wire to hock up the parkbrake wire to. Thanks

Call the dealer and give them your VIN....if there in a good mood they'll check the GM database and pull down the options...Bring the guys in service some donuts or somthing...before you ask.

iut should have passlock 11 this system is twi wires an r-code wire and a ground reference wire. this will need to be interfased with a part such as the dei 555l in order to remote start. the wires in colum are thin wires colored either yellow and black or in most trucks it is yellow and ORANGE / black. the yellow in both cases is the r-code wire and the other wire in both cases is the ground reference. in a 2 002 i belive it is yellow and ORANGE / black.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

although my dei charts say that there is no bypass system in that car so you good to go although you have to give power to second igniton during before remote start or the transmission will not work right even after you take the car over with the key,.
