Notes:
*1 One of two black wires. The other wire is an airbag wire. Test with a DIGITAL multi-meter to identify. If you test the wrong wire with a test light of any kind (including computer safe versions), the airbag light will come on and need to be reset by a Toyota dealer. *2 The check connector (diagnostic) is located in the left rear corner of the engine compartment. The tach can also be found at the ignitor in the same location. *3 Found at the pin or light in the trunk on models without anti-theft. *4 The anti-theft module is located in the drivers kick, just left of the fuse box.

Hi Pencil
I am having a trouble finding the Tach wire. I have looked atthe 'Diagnostics' plug and there is no BLACK/ blue wire. Is there a way to tell which wire it is?

Using digital multimeter. Put your setting to AC. Black probe to ground, red on the wire you think is the tach wire. A good tach signal is between 1-8 volts when your rev the engine. If the reading fluctuate, then you have locate the tach. The other way is using the injector wire for tach. Look for the uncommon wire on all the injector, that will be your tach signal wire.
