Subject: Fuse keeps blowing on Compustar unit

Vehicle: Honda Accord 98-2000
Alarm unit: compustar 2wfm A/S

Problem:

- The 30amp fuse keeps blowing on the +12 volts constant power wire when the car is remote started

- The alarm brain gets very hot

- when I move the brain it makes clicking noises

1. How should I go abouts trouble shooting this problem?

2. What could the possibilities be?

3. Could the starter kill relay cause this problem if it is bad? I will try to replace the relays

First.........30 amp Fuse is a lot of ampherage to have blowing.  You probably should Unplug the Unit & Double check your wiring to the Ignition Switch & Lights.........
Don't keep replacing the Fuse until you have the problem solved.......You are just asking for trouble if the Short is not found

Should I unplugging the Main harness from the alarm brain.
Use a DMM set to ohms or continuity if you and hook one side to the metal chasis on the car and use the other to test each lead at the alarm.
If any of them show anything other than an open circuit then carefully check that wire?
