Does ANYONE have info in the factory alarm system on the Colorado or GMC Canyons?

I can't seem to find any info as far as arming/disarming other than the factory remotes. Is this true? My customer is looking for range in a remote starter, and I'm trying to steer him away from using the factory remotes. I've read here only once that possibly there is no direct connection, even with a bypass module. It's tough for him to give up the truck for me to just experiment, so I'm trying to save a little time here. Seems strange it could be this way, coming from a GM product. There's usually some way around it.

Anyone?? Let's clear this up now. Thanks!

stear them WAY FAR away from the factory remotes. Put them in a drawer at home and never use them again. Sell this customer an all in one unit (security and R/S) security, R/S, extreme range. There are "range extenders" available....but they suck.

There is NO WAY to control the factory secuity.....other than factory transmitter!
