Hi I got a remote car starter with an alarm of ebay and i can't get it to start the engine.  First question i have: Does the factory alarm need to be disable before i can start my truck It's a 2003 dodge ram. I can't even get it started with the dors unlocked and the factory alarm off.  What if i unlock the doors before i start the truck do i still need to disarm the factory alarm with the relay?  Now the second question is about the wiring diagram in the user book. I am goona post a copy of it. To me it looks really weird different the other diagrams. Just let me know if they wired the starter good in this diagram (specialy the 2 rellays.)

That link didn't work so if this doesn't work click on the link. Anyway I think those 2 relays are not wired good. Also Is the purple wire going to the tachometer??  Where do 87a wires go from the 2 relays. Also at the accesorry wires do i have to tie the white to the blue and then hook them up to both accesory wires on the ignition harness? The same with the on wires? is like i am suppost to short circuit the wires. It's weird Any help or a better diagram would be appreciated.

try grounding the wire that says hand brake it could be a neutral safety wire. plus if you have a neutral safety wire than ground it./

This vehicle needs a bypass module in order to be remote started. Did you wire one in?

it depends on the remote starter you are putting in. if you don't have these outputs on your unit, then yes

Hi i installed a remote car starter and it worked great the first time i started it. Then when the engine it's cold it doesn't start. It cranks the engine but not enough to start. I hookd the tech wire to the second injector.  If the engine is how it starts. Does anyone know what to check first? thx

ok it's a 2003 dodge ram.  if there is a better location for the tach wire that would be great.

Try Tan/Red at the coil.

If this doesn't help perhaps your remote starter has an adjustable cranking time?
