93 nissan maxima GXE remote start

Hi Guys,

I am trying to install a prostart 3400C 2 way remote starter on my car. I thought I had found most of the correct wires, if not all, and when I hooked the wires up to the brain and attached the battery back, the brain began vibrating. I dont mean vibrating like a cell phone or pager, its more like some actuator is going crazy in there.

I noticed that with the headlights on it stops, which indicated that maybe this might be a source of the problem.
WIth the lights on, the remote start doesnt respond in any way.

I was told by someone on a maxima site that I didnt need the starter kill relay, external trigger input and I didnt need the ground out while running.

Lastly, I just realized that the instructions require a negative connection for the parking lights input, but my parking light wire gives me a ppostive voltage. How can I invert this?

Did you ground the unit properly?

The prostart gives you two park light wires. A (+) yellow wire in the 5 wire harness, and a (-) orange in the 12 pin harness. Also as Kartuneman asked it sounds like a bad ground.......

What about the ground out while running?

It was suggested to me not to use it, did I make a mistake by not using it?

The ground out when running is only used to provide ground to and external device (such as a bypass unit), while the vehicle is running on the remote start unit.
