I have a compustar 2w900fmr alarm. I had problem with the brain so i had to send it back. They sent me a new one, I plugged it in and it won't do anything. I assume it has to be reprogrammed. Any tips on how to do this? thanks!

Cycle the ignition on and off 5 times rapidly and leave in the on position. Immediately press the lock button on the first remote, watch for one light flash, then press the lock button on the second remote, watch for a light flash. Wait for a series of flashes or 20 seconds, turn ignition off and you test the remotes.

You'll also need to learn tach. Start car, let it get down to a normal idle, then push the programming button on the side of the brain. Lights should flash once.

hey guys thanks for the replies.

I tried both things and neither worked.
I tried to program the remotes, I did the 5 clicks. It blinked twice but when i pressed the button on the remote nothing happens.

I tried the tach learn as well and when i press the button nothing happens. no flash at all.

Any suggestions?

thanks!

Make sure you have the antenna plugged into the unit as well as the antenna itself otherwise you will not get it to program.

OK i got it to work, my problem is that i wasn't pressing the button on the remote right away, "Immediately" was the keyword. I was doing after the lights flash twice and it had to be before that.
I also did the tach learn and the remote start worked too.

thanks a lot!
