The remote car start says to hook tke yellow lead to the oil ind. light or high tension wire. Where is it.

sounds like it might mean the tach.  Cheap alarms/RS have bad translation issues.

The high tension wire is a spark plug wire. Hopefully your vehicle's ignition system has one you can access. This isn't a very reliable method to use for remote starters. If your system can also hook to a tach wire use it instead.
