any help would be greately appreciated thanks in advance.
2003 will require a computer kit from bypasskit.com I belive, it will do your locks and disarm and rearm
- Data interface kit provides complete integration to the factory doorlocks and security system (see list below) with any aftermarket remote starter and/or alarm system.
- Factory personalization features such as: Drivers Seat, Mirror, and Radio station preset memory are maintained with the installation of this kit with any remote aftermarket system. *(Driver #1 only)
- Doorlock interface kit will: Disarm/rearm GM factory security system as well as unlock and lock doors.
- Factory priority unlock feature: Drivers door unlock (First press) and passenger door unlock (Second press) is maintained
- Easy to install kit eliminates the need for relays and does not require the door panels to be removed.
On passlock, there should be a ORANGE / black and yellow wire. ORANGE / black is ground and yellow has the code. The bypass kit has a door output so you dont need to find door trigers. By the way where did you get the compustar remote start? I want one!
for pass lock, ground reference is black on most, ORANGE / black on some early production 2003 full size gm trucks and sport assult vehicles
i got my compustar from a friend of mine who distributes compustar...cost me littile over $250.
Use the PLDATA and GMDL4 for total integration of the Compustar to the 2003 truck. You will get auto window rollup with arming of the system and also get full integration of the Passlock system as well as the personalized features memory. Did one recently and it's the easiest installation module we have come across.

Does the 02 use this same module? Or do you need a different one, or not one at all.
