Spend hours on my back searching trying to locate those wires and had no luck. It could be that my wiring guide was wrong - its from that techsoft program.

I'm not completely clueless on this stuff, i've done quite a few remote start/alarm installs before but this one just has me at a loss.

Anyone have an updated wiring diagram for that year/model - didnt find exact match on the site guides.

Better yet, is there a transponder that would work wirelessly and not have to deal with this hide and seek pain?

Use the OMEGA:

IM-05 or the DB-PASS-23A .......NKR-No Key Required

The Passkey III wires are in a harness that runs down beside the main ignition harness. I tusually has a grey 6 pin plug inline under the dash. It has a blue, purple, orange, black and pink wire in it. It isn't that hard to find.

Gonna go out on a limb here....

There is a little PK3 stamped in the key shank nearest the head, right???

Gus

PS: Some of these didn't have PK....

Yes there's a PK3 stamp on the key.

I'll check again to see if I can find the wires this weekend at least I know to look for an inline harness this time, we'll see how it goes.

I think it does have the PK system, when remoted started it would die after about 5 seconds unless the key was physically in the barrel.

Yup... it has it then (just asked, you never know).

If the key switch is in the column, there will be a harness that is taped with orange tape, containing a couple purple, an orange, and a black or two.

If the key is in the dash, the same harness will be present, the PK module lives at the front of the center console, you can just barely see it.
