trying to install a alarm onto grand cheroke which supprising does not have keyless entry, alarm .has been inported to uk from japan
the wires that are shown do not close locks when + volts applied
to wires
.both wires have pulses on them when door lock switch is operated either way
reading a report in forum on a guy with a US import it does not seem viable to try as the us model uses a data link
as this was exsported from US to japan then to england is it possible that this is a US specifaction

Well check at the door lock switch to see if it use 5 wire system or 3 wire system and check the polarity of the system at the switch SOME use (-) or (+)

Its a two wire system at the door lock drivers door, the switch that controls the central locking seems to have a timer in it as when the door locks are thrown 1 sec later the power to door lock drivers door ceases and a click is heard from switch assembly.

unable to measure voltage at drivers door as not long enough pulse for meter to settle on but goes - one way + other between the two wires

the wires at lock are orange /black and red /black and seems that the same wires go to the lock/unlock switch whether theses split and go to other three door not sure , but at the connecter by the door pillar did not find those colours.

its seems likely that it will need a centre off two pole relay to simply use the on pulse and off from alarm to switch each relay as necessary assuming that the voltage at each door lock is simply 12v dc

Its the same thing i hade you have to do a reverse polarity on both doors. I think. If the pwer switch is in a black box with everything els
