Hi, i have a Vipe 791XV and i want to install a trunk switch as well. Pepboys sells the same ground switches that comes with the system for the hood pinswitch. I have read the manual and can not find the specific wire to hook up to it. there is only one wire for the hood pinswitch. I think i can wire them both to the same hood pinswitch wire with a diode, but on the pager remote it has a light for "trunk" so i would think that i could wire them seperatly. Also i think remote start wont work with the hood open, so if the trunk is open i would still want to have the option of remote starting it. thank you for those who can help me out.

pinswitch wire with a diode with the door pin wire
Then you can R/S if you want with the trunk open.

The trunk lite on the remote is for when you trunk pop with the remote.

There should be a blue wire on the 12 pin H1 main harness for the alarm,  The solid blue wire is for the trunk signal, the  solid gray wire on the H3 harness is for the hood.

1. RED / white = channel two

2. red = power

3. brown = siren out put

4. open (would have yellow iginition wire on the non-remote start alarms)

5. black = system chassis ground

6. violet = positive door trigger

7. blue = trunk trigger (optional sensor)

8. green = negitive door trigger

9. BLACK/ white = dome light supervision output

10. WHITE/ blue = negitive remote start activation  input

11. white = park light output

12. orange = ground while armed.

Hope this helps.
